Keep It Moving

My 2023 Q1 Self-Employed Update

As a self-employed business owner of Chell Brown LLC, I am thrilled to share some exciting updates. Most of my work is focused on empowering and supporting independent contractors, freelancers, sole proprietors, and consultants through our flagship product, TR Growth CRM. After a year of developing this contact management and sales tool, I am thrilled to announce our soft beta launch as we keep it moving into the spring and summer of 2023.

TR Growth CRM is specifically designed for those who make money through gig apps like Taskrabbit and Fiverr, word of mouth, their Google My Business profile, and their website or social media pages. With this tool, I aim to help self-employed individuals streamline their sales process, organize their contacts, and ultimately increase their revenue by gaining more transparency into their best assets and customers. Since I work with a developer who has a full-time job, it can be tricky getting things done as quickly as I’d like, but until I get a larger budget, I need to make do with what I have.

However, this journey has not been without its challenges. I recently lost my contracted video editor, which has put me slightly behind. He landed a new full-time editing position, making much more money than I could afford to pay him. So, much respect and best of luck to him! Nevertheless, I remain passionate and motivated about this project and everything else in the works, and I will also begin to search for other contractors to work with. I haven’t decided if it will be another video editor, VA, or marketing help, but I need someone else to help with these projects.

No need to sit and dwell on what I could have done to keep my video editor onboard; keep it moving.

I’m also excited about the pre-stages of a new video series I am developing to help inspire and inform other self-employed individuals. Under the Marketing and Sales Help brand, this series will provide valuable insights into the world of self-employment, from startup failure to success and much more.

In addition to these projects, I’m thrilled to be developing a new coaching and consulting program that will provide one-on-one support to self-employed individuals who want to gain awareness and make more money. This program will be a game-changer for those looking to take their business to the next level. Look out for the MASH Coaching program coming soon.

AdamHelper, my handyman and general labor business, is starting to pick back up. Marathon Monday just passed, and spring and summer are my primary seasons for running this business and making money. So the timing between AdamHelper and Chell Brown LLC can be tricky, but I believe I’m up for it.

What else has been going on…

Transportation Problems and all – I Still Keep it Moving

Two kind-of personal items aren’t too essential but are part of the grind and my entrepreneurial journey. First, my Ninja 400 was recently stolen. Yes, my baby Nicki which I bought last July, was taken from outside my place here in Medford, just north of Boston. I’m an idiot for being so trustworthy and leaving it outside unlocked without a tarp or any urgency to protect it. That said, I’m fortunate that I have insurance, and it should be adequately taken care of. I’ll know more on Friday. I will most likely get a new motorcycle, but we’ll see since I am getting a new 2023 Nissan Frontier! I’m breaking some of my financial rules since I am taking out a loan, but I did get the dealer under MSRP, put a little money down, and plan to pay it off early. My Honda Pilot was done. No joke, I almost drove it until the wheels fell off. I think I grabbed a video or photos on my phone – if so, I’ll update this and post it below.

Lastly, my first 2023 sales and marketing partnership agreement has been signed and is underway. I’m beyond excited to partner with like-minded individuals and businesses with the same passion for supporting inclusivity and empowering the self-employed community.

Keep It Moving

So I’ve been staying busy, as I am still committed to helping other self-employed individuals navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. I believe TR Growth CRM, the new video series, the coaching and consulting program, and our sales and marketing partnership agreements will significantly impact other independent contractors and the self-employed community. You probably aren’t as excited as me, but what do you think? As you can see, I’m ready to keep it moving. Are you?
